Figure Skating Elite
Hello Parents and Pepsi Ice Midwest Group Class Skaters,
(*Currently there is No Basic Skill Practice Ice Available. Basic Skill Practice will resume in September). Practice! Practice! Practice! Practice helps skaters better retain the skills taught in group class. Practice also builds confidence and self esteem. And practice prepares skaters to pass their evaluation on the last day of class so they can move to the next level of skating. (There is a U.S.F.S. badge for each of the Eight Basic Skills Tests a student passes. Badges can be purchased in the Pro Shop.) Boost Skills! During this practice ice time, “Booster” lessons are available for the skater who may need one-on-one instruction on a specific skill he or she may be having difficulty with in group class. Booster lessons are $10 per 10 minutes. PSA Coaches will be available for an additional lesson fee for the skater who wishes to learn a skating program or compulsory program for the upcoming Pepsi Ice Midwest Basic Skills Competition on Saturday, October 30th, 2010. This is an opportunity we hope skaters will find beneficial. You may purchase a punch card prior to the practice session from 3:30 – 4 pm. Cash or checks are accepted. Checks are made payable to “Figure Skating Elite”. Credit cards are not accepted at this time. Please check in with the ice monitor for each session prior to getting on the ice. The ice monitor will be collecting money and punching cards either at a table near the entrance to the rink or at rink side. Prepare your skaters for the 4th Annual Pepsi Ice Midwest Fall Invitational Basic Skills Competition scheduled for October 30th, 2010 (Entry Deadline is October 1st, 2010)!
